About Brad Simmons, Owner & Principal

Brad Simmons is the founder and owner of Applied Executive Insights, a consulting firm in Illinois, specializing in executive assessment, coaching, leadership development, and team communication facilitation. In his 11 years experience in the field, he has served clients from a broad range of sectors including consumer package goods, private equity/Venture Capital, education, bio-medical, telecommunications and various manufacturing industries.

Brad has been a leading provider for selection and talent management consulting services for some of the fastest growing companies in the Fortune 500. He's created selection screeners, coached senior leaders, conducted management training workshops, presented to the executive council and provided personnel development counsel to finance, strategic planning, sales, operations and field business units.

Other experiences include developing international sales and operations assessment and development programs spanning Central and South America for telecommunications firms and providing human capital due diligence for clients in the private equity and venture capital services sector.

Brad's other business activities include venture funding of small to mid size corporations in the Midwest. Additionally, he is an owner and director of an agri-business operation specializing in land acquisition and farming across Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin and Kentucky.

Brad earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from DePauw University and received his MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Brad's interests include flying (holds FAA Private Pilot Instrument Rating), mountain climbing, hunting, fishing, and other outdoor recreational activities. He lives in Lincolnshire, Illinois with his wife, Julie and twin boys, Thomas and David.
